Hey there bloomers! I noticed that I kept on reviewing skin care products on my blog so I decided to stick with makeup on today's post. Well, reading the title of this post, I know that I'm already late on this but I will be reviewing the Anastasia Beverly Hills (ABH) Modern Renaissance palette.
I rarely apply eye shadows when I do my makeup but ever since I got hooked on cosmetics, I decided to get a new eye shadow palette for myself. I've been eyeing this palette on Instagram and saw a lot of positive reviews regarding this one so without a second thought; I decided to go for this palette. I know for sure that I will love using it since the shades are just my thing.

Price: $42.00
As soon as I got the palette, I was jumping for joy! "I know I'm over reacting but people who love makeup would definitely understand this feeling too. Lol" I didn't expect that I would get a high-end product for myself so I was hoping that this palette will not fail my expectations. It took me awhile before I use it because I just can't help and stare at those warm neutral and berry tones.
Here's the list of ingredients from the ABH palette. I know I'll be happy to use them since they are cruelty free!
PACKAGING
The palette is placed inside a pink box and once you remove it, you'll see that the palette is covered with a velvet material. It looks chic and sleek but I'm afraid that dust and makeup residues will stick to the cover making it dirty. I just hope that wiping them with wipes would do the trick so hopefully it will work. It also comes with a mirror and a double ended shadow brush so I know it will come in handy on my travels.
"Ahhh... aren't those colors just too lovely? I can't help but stare at them."
SHADES
I did a swatch on the back of my arm and surprisingly, these eye shadows are soft, creamy and buttery. "Well, that's what you get for a $42 eye shadow palette."
- Tempera - beige (matte) - using it all over my lids
- Golden Ochre - earthly yellow (matte)
- Vermeer - iridescent shell (shimmery) - great for highlighting
- Buon Fresco - lavender (matte) - perfect transition color
- Antique Bronze - metallic sable (satin)
- Love Letter - raspberry (matte)
- Cyprus Umber - dark coffee (matte)
- Raw Sienna - neutral amber (matte) - perfect transition color
- Burnt Orange - deep orange (matte)
- Primavera - gold dust (shimmery) - my favorite shade and mostly applying it at the center of my lids
- Red Ochre - sienna (matte)
- Venetian Red - crimson (matte)
- Warm Taupe - earthly gray (matte)
- Realgar - brick (matte)
I love the fact that they are not powdery just like my previous palettes and the pigmentation is insane. A single swipe is all you need and you'll be able to see its true color. Applying these gorgeous eye shadows on my lids is easy and they blend beautifully. However, there's a bit of fallout and they literally fly everywhere. I don't have any problems in regards to that since I can always start doing my eye makeup first and just brush away the fall outs and continue on with the rest of my face.
STAYING POWER
I was impressed by how these eye shadows can stay on your lids for a long time. I did my makeup the other day without applying any primer on my lids and at the end of the day; I am amazed that my eye shadows are still intact. "Woohoo! This is definitely worth the hype!"

Overall, this is a must have palette and I recommend it for you guys to try! If you're looking for a warm neutral and berry tones palette, then give this a try. But if you prefer neutral tones, there are plenty of them in the market and you can browse online. This is pretty pricey but definitely worth it! ♥
